Nursery really enjoyed ‘Brummie Week’ and explored their local area. They started by using Google Earth, which the children were fascinated by and were very excited when they could find the school and their houses. “That’s my house, that’s Daddy’s car.” “That’s the school and the bus.” Each day they used actions to try to remember that they go to St Anthony’s School in Kingshurst and the children picked this up brilliantly. In small groups they went on walks around the local area and the children behaved beautifully whilst finding the local library, surgery, dentist, shops and lots, lots more.
