Church & Parish
We are very lucky to be situated next to our beautiful church.
The Stained Glass Window by Anthony Naylor marked the dedication of the church on 29th September 1989 and celebrates the uniting of the parishes of St John the Baptist and Saint Anthony into one. The images of the two Saints are prominent in the window, together with symbols of parishioners, their work, organisations and the history of the Parish.
Some of our Key Stage 2 pupils took part in a sponsored sleepover in support of local homeless charities. Each child made their own house covered with the words that reflected what they missed about their homes and processed to church which was only lit by candles for our collective worship. We reflected on our duty to help those less fortunate than ourselves and we laid out our homes marking what we were grateful for and gave thanks. It was a perfect end to our night. Spelling out the word ‘HOME' to mark all the comforts our families provide for us.
